Julia is a native Roman. She has been in Real Estate since 1988 and has been with Toles, Temple & Wright for the last ten years. Prior to real estate Julia was Secretary-Treasurer of Hilburn's Family Shoe Store for 20 years.

She is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Rome Chamber of Commerce, where she served on numerous committees. She is a graduate of Leadership Rome II and served on the Steering Committee and served as President of the Downtown Merchant's Association (P.R.I.D.E.) during the two years of the downtown renovation program known as Streetscape. She was a member of the Junior Service League and served as Treasurer.

Julia is a Past State President of the Business and Professional Women's Organization of Georgia. She was the "Woman of Achievement" and "Young Career Woman" of the Cherokee BPW of Rome.

She has been an active member of the Greater Rome Board of Realtors serving as Program Chairman or Vice Chairman for seven years. In 1997 she was named "Realtor of the Year".

She is a volunteer for Rome's Good Neighbor Ministeries and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Julia is married to Fred Dent and they have three poochies, Lucy, Clyde and Sandie!
